According to a recent report by London-based research firm Mintel, the best online clothing stores are estimated to be valued at £15.4 billion by the end of 2023. That's a lot of shopping, brother! The study also also found that most guys prefer to buy their clothes online, with 67 per cent agreeing that it's way easier compared to travelling to an actual physical store, pushing through the hordes of sweaty dudes, only to find that they don't even have your size in-stock. You don't need all that business in your life.

But that means there are a lot of online clothing stores now – a lot of them back. That's why we've hand selected some of the best online clothing stores that you should check out. So, whether you're looking for everything from streetwear to workwear, Oxford shirts to Oxford shoes, or tracksuits to, well, actual suits, these are the sites that you should save to your bookmarks right now.

1 | Dover Street Market

If you're looking for something particularly fancy, then Dover Street Market deserves a click. Founded by Rei Kawakubo (she of Comme des Garçons fame), as its name kinda already states, it started in London's Dover Street, eventually expanding to multiple locations around the world including Beijing, Los Angeles, New York City, Paris, Singapore, and Tokyo.

Each of these locations give off serious modern art museum vibes with exposed piping and concrete surfaces. But if you don't live anywhere near them, the E-Shop has pretty much all of the stock, and then some. The website is also the place where some of DSM's hottest and most hyped collabs live, including collections from the likes of Nike, Palace, Stüssy.

2 | End

End has come a very, very long way since it began its journey back in 2005. From a single independent store based in Newcastle, they have since opened up more spaces in Glasgow, London, Manchester, and most recently, Milan. From most experiences though, you'll get all of the best products and deals from their online shop.

While End has a reputation of being quite high end, that's actually not entirely true. While you can, of course, grab yourself a luxury denim jacket here or a pair of very expensive sunglasses there, you can also buy everything from plain white T-shirts to basic hoodies too. It's not just a sneaker shop either, as they have thousands of books, homewares, and tech available. Something for everybody!

Inspired by minimal living, London's very own Goodhood is the ultimate spot for menswear. Whether you're looking for everyday essentials like socks or underwear, or more niche items such as Hawaiian shirts or safari jackets that are made in Japan, this is the place to check out.

The brand's Lifestore is also worth exploring if you're thinking of kitting out your home. From cooking utensils to lighting, you can even search for products by room so you can easily find exactly what you're looking for. It's worth noting that Goodhood is 100 per cent independent too, so if you shop from here, you'll be supporting the little guy.

4 | Hanon

Founded by brothers Brian and Edward Toft, Hanon was born out of a passion for skateboarding and streetwear. Setting up shop in the front room of their parents’ house in the late '80s, the guys relocated to Aberdeen in 1993 where they opened an actual physical store that has been beloved by everyone from Scotland and beyond.

Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the shop permanently closed its door earlier this year, but Hanon's website is still up and running with a huge range of graphic tees, coats, and footwear, from labels like New Balance and Salomon.

5 | Kith

You just can't talk about the best online clothing stores without bring up Kith. Founded by the man, the myth, and the legend that is Ronnie Fieg in 2011, the label started off with a single store in NYC, and now, it has a total of 12 locations across three continents.

Kith has a reputation of being a luxury streetwear label, so don't expect any affordable everyday essentials here. Instead, if you're in the market for a bomber jacket that's made of the best materials or big name collaborations from the likes of Adidas, Versace, and even BMW, then Kith deserves a spot in your bookmarks. Their own-brand collections are also majorly hyped, with seasonal collections literally selling out within seconds of dropping. This shouldn't come as too much of a surprise considering Bryan Cranston and Jerry Seinfeld are such massive stans.

Believe it or not, Matches has actually been around for the better part of four decades. After opening up in 1987, the British retailer eventually went online in 2007, and it's been one of the best online clothing stores since.

If you're thinking of spending your hard-earned cash at Matches, it's worth noting that you're not going to find any cheap essentials here. Instead, expect premium brands like Balenciaga, Gucci, Stone Island, and Thom Browne. Yeah, it's that type of store. That being said, when they have a sale, the discounts are pretty phenomenal, so those of you who are ballin' on a budget will feel right at home here.

7 | Mr Porter

Mr Porter has been around for just 12 years, but it's already a multi-billion pound business with thousands and thousands of guys (and girls) visiting every single day. Like Matches, don't expect to find any bank account-friendly items in here. Instead, if you're in the market for a Swiss watch that's worth five or six figures or knitwear that costs two or three months worth of rent, this is the online clothing shop to visit.

Mr Porter places a pretty big focus on male grooming. There's a huge section dedicated to men's beauty products, and it's a good starting spot if you're a single moisturiser kinda guy.

While Nike is known primarily for their hype-worthy sneakers and running trainers, the American sportswear brand is seen more as a fashion company these days. In fact, according to the latest numbers, they're currently the most valuable fashion brand in the world, with a worth estimated to be around $37 billion globally.

Even though the Swoosh is rolling in cash, they still sell some of the most affordable clothing around. So if you're in the market for a pair of shorts, sweatshirts, or even gorpcore-ready raincoats, Nike's got you. Their Black Friday promotions are also some of the best ones out there, so if you're searching for some serious steals then wait until around November time.

9 | Selfridges

Selfridges has been around for well over a century, with four absolutely massive stores scattered across Great Britain. Their online experience is arguably even better than their brick-and-mortar locations, with countless new brands and labels being added every single week, including Carhartt WIP, Jacquemus, and Saint Laurent, to name a few.

Selfridges is particularly useful during the holiday season. Not only do they have the latest homewares and tech in-stock, they also sell some very posh hampers, flowers, wine, and even fresh food. We can't imagine that doing your daily shop here is particularly cost-effective, but we're not going to try and stop you.

Unlike most of the companies here, Ssense (pronounced “essence”) actually started off as an e-commerce platform all the way back in 2003, when many of us were still humming to the sweet sounds of dial-up internet. Originally selling stuff exclusively in Canada, they eventually expanded to 114 countries around the world, with five different sites in five different languages, depending on where you're shopping from.

Like Matches and Mr Porter, Ssense focuses on luxury and high end labels. But they also shine a special spotlight on independent menswear brands and Black-owned businesses as well, which is nice.

Très Bien has got to be one of the most underrated online clothing stores out there. Like End, it has a reputation of being quite premium, but when you really dive into their product selections you'll find a lot of stuff that's actually very affordable.

Because the Scandinavian shop isn't as well-known among mainstream shoppers, you'll actually find a lot of sneakers and apparel here that have sold out everywhere else. Très Bien's in-house label is also very, very popular among menswearheads worldwide.

12 | Uniqlo

Founded almost 40 years ago in Japan, Uniqlo was once Asia's best kept fashion secret until quite recently, when the casualwear brand decided to expand into the West. Know for their quiet luxury-esque aesthetic, while the collections are generally very affordable, they have somehow managed to stuff some pretty innovative material tech into their pieces.

So if you're in the market for some down jackets, short-sleeve shirts, and cargo trousers, Uniqlo is the place to check out. You'll look a million dollars without having to pay a million dollars. Not even close.
