A stunning cosplay sees Marvel Cinematic Universe Ms. Marvel actress Iman Vellani ditch Kamala Khan for another Marvel hero, X-Men's Jubilee.
Ms. Marvel's Iman Vellani appears as X-Men's Jubilee in incredibly colorful cosplay. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been introducing many legacy characters since 2019's Avengers: Endgame marked the end of the Infinity Saga. A new generation of heroes has emerged, including Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop, Tatiana Maslany's She-Hulk, and Vellani's Ms. Marvel. After leading her own Disney+ series, Ms. Marvel, Vellani will join The Marvels' cast of heroes this November.
On Instagram Stories, Never Have I Ever star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan (via Pop Crave) shared a photo of her and Vellani in cosplay at FAN EXPO Canada.
The Netflix star appears dressed as Donatello from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, while the Ms. Marvel actress leaves Kamala Khan behind for another Marvel hero, becoming X-Men's Jubilee. Vellani could get the chance to play an X-Men member in the MCU soon.
Ms. Marvel's final episode included a shocking moment. Matt Lintz' Bruno reveals to Kamala that he found a mutation in her genes, with the theme song of the iconic X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon playing in the background. The scene was definitely not in vain for a number of reasons, setting up Ms. Marvel's future role in the X-Men's MCU story.
Recently, Ms. Marvel was killed in the comics, with the character not spending too much time dead before making quite the comeback. After being an Inhuman throughout her existence in the comics prior to her death, Kamala is set to return as a mutant, fully suited up in a new X-Men version of Ms. Marvel's classic costume. When the MCU revealed that Ms. Marvel was a mutant, it became public that her comic book creators originally wanted Kamala to be a mutant.
Now, it seems like Ms. Marvel has a clear path to play a major role in the X-Men's MCU story, as not only is the character being resurrected as a mutant in the comics, but the new Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant comic series is being co-written by none other than MCU Kamala Khan actress Vellani herself. With the MCU clearly hinting at Kamala's X-Men future and Vellani helming the character's debut as a member of the X-Men in the comics, the actress will not need to be dressing up as Jubilee for long, as Ms. Marvel's Kamala Khan and the X-Men appear to be linked tightly in the MCU.
